Who We Are

Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) is a statewide, nonprofit law that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people in order to ensure equal access to justice and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity.   The legal staff of Legal Aid of NC - Durham Office provides legal assistance in civil matters to eligible, low-income clients who have problems with their basic needs and live in the seven-county area surrounding Durham, NC:

Income Guidelines

There are some limited exceptions. Please call the Legal Aid of NC office in Durham to see if you are eligible.

Your family's income should be at or below the following percentage of the federal poverty level 125
