Who We Are

Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) is a statewide, nonprofit law that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people in order to ensure equal access to justice and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity.   The legal staff of Legal Aid of NC - Morganton Office provides legal assistance in civil matters to eligible, low-income clients who have problems with their basic needs and live in the nine-county area surrounding Morganton, NC:

Burke County
Caldwell County
Catawba County
McDowell County
Mitchell County
Watauga County
Yancey County

There are some limited exceptions. Please call the Legal Aid of NC office in Morganton to see if you are eligible for our services.
