File-it-yourself Custody Packet

Legal Aid of North Carolina has developed a set of online interviews to help you file for custody in court without a lawyer.

The interview is hosted by LawHelpInteractive, a national server dedicated to helping people prepare legal documents on their own without a lawyer.

There are different packets depending on whether you are a parent seeking custody from the other parent or a non-parent seeking custody from the child's parents. Be sure to choose the correct packet.
