What is a Judgment?

A judgment is a decree or order of the court. A judgment in which an award of money damages is ordered (a money judgment) has the following effect on the party against whom the judgment was entered.

1. Judgment can become a lien on land.
2. Judgment accrues interest.
3. Judgment can be enforced by execution.
